Up and out this morning to do my first consolidation run. I’d partly convinced myself that I wouldn’t be able to do it without the programme but quickly gave myself a good talking to 😂
I downloaded the Nike Run app and thought I’d do one of their ‘morning run with headspace’ runs. It’s recorded that I ran for 30 mins but nothing else. I’m wondering if this is because I was on the treadmill? Technology and me are not the closest of friends 🤦♀️
Anyway I’m pleased to report that I did indeed run for another 30 minutes and my Fitbit tells me that I covered just under 4K. I’m not bothered about distance at this stage, just saying as an encouragement to those starting out who may feel they’ve got to push for 5k by the end of the programme.
My next dilemma is whether to venture outside or to consolidate on the treadmill first. I know lots of you prefer outdoors and on days like this I can see the attraction. I also fear that the treadmill might become my security blanket. Thinking I might try the great outdoors on Saturday morning and see how far I get. Any thoughts?
