Went out this morning for my first run after graduating (I’ve joined a running club and started at their beginners on a Thursday night). This was the first run I haven’t been able to complete. My thoughts were to run 15 mins then turn around and run 15 mins back. Well, just after the 10 min warning I really felt awful!! Started coughing so I turned round and only completed 22 mins. Oh well Monday’s another day!

You were correct to stop your first 30 minute consolidation run today Shelley, that was a sensible decision, nice that you have joined a running club, better luck for next Monday.
Well Shelley you still ran, so in my book that’s fabulous. 👍 Sorry you didn’t feel great today though. It was a pretty foul day, but at least you got out there. Well done on joining a running club too! 🏃♀️🏃♀️
Hey Shelly... sounds like you may have a bug coming? You know what? You’re not on the plan any more... you don’t have to run 30... sometimes you’ll run more, sometimes less... and that 22 minutes made you a little stronger than before you ran it. We end each and every run a better runner. Enjoy Monday... relax and just celebrate your progress as you set off.

Some runs are just like that. See my last run! Turns out I had lurgy about to show itself, the next morning I had trouble breathing whilst walking so it was no wonder I had trouble with the run!!! Well done for stopping and turning round! Its something I will definitely do next time!
