Week 4 run 1

Well after a long Easter weekend filled with food and wine I did my first run of week four today. Omg it was a struggle... I found it a lot harder than last week and not sure if it’s due to my over indulgence or just the programme upping the anti. Really hoping the next run will feel a little easier.

Can relate! I found my run today really tough... maybe cos it was so muggy too and back from Easter. Hope your next run is easier.

It’s odd in the early stages, some runs are great, some are hard. Even if you think you’re running slowly you can always slow down some more, especially as the durations increase. I still run slowly (Japanese slow jogging technique) and love it. I started running this way about W6 and wish I’d seen the film on youtube sooner as it really helped me learn to enjoy the running and helped my breathing enormously. Perhaps with the heat a bit more water as hydration really does make the legs not quite so like lead!

Thank you, yes I watched that you tube vid after your advice. Makes a big difference. Don’t think I would have got through today without your advice. 😀
