Hi a few will recall I graduated in December but on a treadmill - since trying to transition to the road I’ve struggled and returned to week 3.
Yesterday I went out for the second time and realised my issue...hills! The start of my run is a slight incline, enough for me to feel my legs are made of lead. So next time I’m going to walk to that part and start on the level/slight downward incline, I should get further.
This app is being reused over and over - it really helps 👍🏻

That sounds like a good plan. When I was learning I used to crash out at the end and always thought I can’t do this until I realised it was the hill at the end that was doing me in. Changed to a flat course and boom. Great run. Happy running. Rfc x
I changed my route for W7R1-3. It includes a longer stretch uphill past the 5 mins walk stage warmup. On day 1 I decided to pause the walk till nearly at the top so I could jog for 25 mins on the level ish. A slight cheat to some but to me it was the difference of carrying on or not. Cracked the 3 runs getting better runs moving forward. So, recommend your plan is god 😎😎
