Well i’ve done it! Haven’t posted much as I had a problem with my blood pressure pills which caused my legs and feet to swell. Missed a week but this morning completed my final run. I can’t quite believe I can run for 30 minutes but why don’t I feel elated? Still feel I struggle with my breathing and don’t feel I could hold a conversation while running. Did anyone else feel this way? I will continue to run as I know I feel fitter and my recovery time is really quick compared to what it was before I started running. Maybe i’m expecting too much?

I cried at the end of my wk 9r3 run ( and from about halfway round) and declared that was it I was never running again!!

And then went out 2 days later and ran 5k in 40 mins and went round d with a grin on my face for days. Still running a year later

I think I’d built up the run in my mind and I drove up to Bridgwater the night before so I could share my graduation run with my daughter who had done C25k alongside me. It was unfamiliar ground and I just struggled and did not enjoy it.

Back home on my own ground it was much better and I’m still running a year later

Good luck with the rest of the your running 👍

well done you...you are amazing you have run for 30mins YAH!! I felt a bit like you as I thought well that is it - done it! Then you suddenly look back on those early weeks and realise how far you have come. You are now a runner be proud! From now on you are free to run for yourself without any regimes of C25K but you will continue as I have it is sort of now in my dna to run now and boy am I enjoying the challenge. good luck

Many congratulations on your graduation fellow runner.

This guide to post C25K running may be helpful healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

In it you will find advice about finding different paces. You should spend at least 75% of your running time at a pace at which you can hold a conversation........if you cannot, you need to slow down.

Keep running, keep smiling.
