Do you?

Hi so after an illness I'm jogging again middle of week 6. First 10min run fine but after the 3min walk when I run again I have to keep stopping. I pause the app and then continue so I am running 10min just with breaks. Do any of you? Is this OK to do going forward?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with it, if that is what you have to do, but you are not fulfilling the demands of the workout.

If in W9 you run for thirty minutes, but with breaks in the middle when you stop the clock, then you will not have run continuously for thirty minutes.

The aim of the plan is to get you running continuously for thirty minutes.

World records would tumble if runners were allowed to stop the clock and have a breather.

I think you need to go back to where you feel comfortable and take it from there. You will have such a sense of achievement when you do this programme as set out. Remember to slow down so that you find a pace that you can sustain for the whole run :)

Just looked at your previous posts and you had 2 months off - of course you are struggling! go back to a week that you can manage and take it from there :)

I went back week 5 and did 2runs fine. Shall I do that again or go back to week 4. I want to do it right 😔

I think it’s trial and error but after 2 months I would suggest starting week one again, if run one is easy, go to week two and so on. Good luck
