Ode to my shin splint

I know you are there I can feel ya

Hanging around my right shin

If it wasn’t for you I’d be out there

Instead I just have to give in

And shock you with ice and a roller

And maybe the odd strong pain killer

At the end of the day it’s temporary

I know...I could have been iller.

I’ll be patient and wait till I’m better

And read about others on here

And when they each reach graduation

I’ll give them a, well earned, great big cheer! 🥳
