Made it to W7 R2 - been on IC for 2 weeks

Knees began to hurt if I’m honest before W7 but I was in denial as it had taken so long to start running again after a couple of years of painful achilles. Had gait analysis, bought lovely new trainers but haven’t worn them yet because of my knees. Getting extremely frustrated and not sure how long to wait before I try again. I was really looking forward to doing my local PR at the end of April and running through the Byes in Sidmouth where we will be staying with friends next month. I’m normally quite an optimistic person but feeling a little bit deflated at the moment and a bit sorry for myself. I’ve deleted this post twice already and told myself to buck up but I think I need a little help from my friends please 😪

How aggravating for you ! Have you seen a medic ? I would, if the knees aren’t improving. Hope you’re back on top form very soon x

That’s a pity. Sports physio ? Someone on here might be able to recommend one in your area x

Hi thanks for replying - I saw an Osteopath for about 6 months last year who helped with the achilles but it’s not cheap - I will go to GP if nothing changes and try and get referred again to a proper sports physio. Last physio I saw through GP for achilles gave me the wrong exercises to do and I was crying trying to do them until I realised it wasn’t supposed to hurt so much 😬

Eek ! No wonder you don’t have much confidence in them ! Better luck this time, I hope x

Consider going back a few weeks or restarting the programme. Get out for some regular walks in the fresh air. Dont be too disheartened, if you want to do this you will. Just take your time and believe this is possible.
