Finally Made It to Week 2

I started the program again as my Hubbie wanted to join in and after repeating Week 1 twice (we are both VERY unfit) we have now moved on to Week 2. Have to admit it was quite hard but not as difficult as I thought (I think my OH struggled a little more than I did) but I was really proud that we managed to do it. I know completing the programme is still a long way off but we’re determined to get there no matter how long it takes.

Trust me, that 1st week is the worst.

Everyone told me that, but I didn't believe them until I got to the end, had 2 rest days and started week 2.

Hang in there, you're doing great.

Never fear a week, or repeating a week.

And..... slow down! :-)

You are doing just fine. Before you know it you and the old man will be running for 30 minutes at a time :)

Well, the good news is, there’s no hurry

Slow is best for this caper. Have fun 😃👍

Great that you’re both doing it together, you can motivate each other. Just keep it slow and you’ll amaze yourself and each other 😁

That's a great start, well done. Running with a partner will help if you can both gently encourage each other. Do trust the program, have the confidence to move through the weeks even if the step up sometimes seems big, keep in mind that the program works and pushes us to make progress. Good luck on your running journey together.

Well done. I’ve started week 3 and had a confidence wobble about going to 3 mins but I’ve done my first run. I found (after someone pointed it out) that I was speeding up for some unknown reason. Keep going do it at your own speed 👍
