Hi Nicky5555, well done on completing Run 1. Think of it as being fitter than you were before you did the first run! Mybe do some stretches and enjoy your rest day. You've got this!

I agree with the stretches. I finished week 1 yesterday. I didn’t stretch after my first run and I hurt so much for 2 days. Did stretches after my other 2 runs and they were a game changer!

First I would like to congratulate you on your decision to do this program. I had felt the same on my first run but now just come back from doing W4R1. You can do it !! This forum is very good with positive messages and will keep you going 😀.

You can do it Nicky. After 6 months of not running and having moved I am restarting the programme again.

Good luck Nicky

Well done Nicky, I felt exactly the same after my first run. Now starting week 6 and although not easy you certainly get a real buzz when you finish. Can’t believe I can now run 20 minutes without stopping. You will do it .

Well done for starting, I struggled to do week 1 but have today just run for 25 mins non stop, that took me about 7-8 weeks due to an injury. You will have ups and downs but it does get easier, don’t give up.

The good news is, you've passed the first difficult hurdle!

Well done Nicky5555! That’s the hardest run to do but you’re out there now and doing it - Run Slow, stay hydrated and take your rest days and the weeks will fly by! And to all the other w1r1 runners - all this and enjoy!!

Don't worry about how hard you find it. I only managed 2 out of 8 runs on my first try. Focus on the fact that you got out there and did it! That in itself should make you really, really proud!
