So this week started off a little wobbly with my health throwing a spanner in the works which meant I had to change my run days. I was very hard on myself mentally because i felt like my body had let me down yet again, but I think it has also been the first time that I have listened to my body and addressed the fact that sometimes I may not be able to do what I want to do, there and then but that's okay because I can always make time to do it later and the most important part is that I need to be healthy enough to run. Lasts nights run was perfect!! I can finally feel myself getting fitter building more stamina each run is becoming more of challenge as I increase my running time but it's also becoming easier as I know I can do this. I am starting to believe in myself more and more. I actually want to run. 3 weeks ago I didn't even want to leave the house and now I am about to start week 4 Couch to 5k has not only improved my fitness but it has also improved the way I think its helping me with my mental health its helping me connect with my own body. I took an hour after last nights run just to sit with my thoughts and reflect on how far I have already come.
Week 3 complete : So this week started off a... - Couch to 5K
Week 3 complete
In the photo you certainly look 'faraway in your thoughts' just wondering what music 🎶 you are listening to!!. 😊
Congratulations on completing week 3.
Onwards and upwards to week 4, enjoy.
I am on week 3 and it feels amazing even at this stage. It is certainly a step up from the previous weeks 1 and 2. I mean, running non stop for 3 minutes! 3 minutes! That is something to celebrate. I wish you luck for the rest of your journey and keep posting your updates.
I think you are right to listen to your body and take time out if you need it. I used to have set days for week 1 and 2, i.e. Mon, Wed and Fri. Now, this last week I have switched it up to every other day because I feel like I am running away with the running plan. Keep enjoying it and don't worry if you need to switch days or do something different to keep up the commitment and your mommentum.
Well done you , getting out and running will do you the world of good 😊
Well done you. Getting on better terms with my body has been one of the best gains out of this programme - glad you’re finding that too x
