Just finished my first Park Run and what a great experience!
I’m on Week 7:2 but did run a little extra as felt able too, then I walked for a little towards the end. Did it in 35mins and was really pleased with that. It was hard not to go too fast at the start as I was way at the back and loads of speedy runners but I stuck to my pace and came 374th out of 390 - I’ll take that! 😊
It’s definitely a great way to mix up your running and experience running with other - very friendly people! Just take it at your own pace and don’t go too fast.
For those just starting out with C25K I promise you I’d never have thought I’d ever be able to run a 5K and so if I can do it you can and the feeling is just great! C25K really has changed me...I feel healthier, happier and even more confident.
Happy running everyone!

Congratulations on completing your first 5k Parkrun this morning, pretty good time, you tend to go faster when running with a crowd than as if you are alone.
