First run on my couch to 5k challenge and I couldn’t finish it I missed the last 2 minute runs! Around 5 minutes of the rest of the challenge hoping to finish my next run completely, feeling disheartened I couldn’t finish the whole run but I suppose it’s better then not getting of the couch at all! X

Congratulations and welcome to C25K and the forum, you can repeat any runs or week's if you wish, many people find the first run of week 1 the hardest, don't be disheartened by not being able to complete all the 8/1 minute runs the very first time, have a days rest then try a second time, this time run slower than you did today.

It’s much better than staying on the couch! Well done for getting out there, don’t worry about not getting it done first off - it will get better! Stay hydrated, run really slowly abd then slow down and take your rest days! Enjoy the plan and post your runs - there’s so much support on the forum and if you have any problems there’s bound to be someone who has already resolved it! Good luck!

Thankyou for your advice and support! Might have run a little too fast when I’m only just starting so will try and slow down a bit next time! X

I honestly, honestly couldn’t manage the first week, also had to stop but kept going with the programme and am now running 30 minutes and am somehow in week 9!

It’s bonkers but it really works!

Well done, week one was the hardest mentally and you’ve started!!!!👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5... and explains the recommended easy conversational pace, which makes it all so much more enjoyable and doable.

Just repeat any session that you don't complete, after a rest day.

Enjoy your journey.
