Calf pain kicked in again about halfway. Figured it was maybe just cramp and pushed through rather than resorting to heel strikes. Now I've finished (which feels great) it's cramp in my toes and feet. Will have to see how I feel Thursday when I'm due to do r2. Excited about progress so far.

Calf stretches before and after your run will help, eat bananas every day too and you should be fine but listen to your body, it’s warning you at the moment and the last thing you need is an injury so pull your pace back if you need to but don’t ignore it

I have tried Chi running today for first time as my legs were getting heavy...another person on hear told me about it my god it helps as you don't heel strike at all. Look on UTube

Thanks all. I rested and found the Japanese slow running video helped. Also an excellent massage from my partner and calf extensions on the stairs. I'm very mindful about stride, strike, posture and different muscle groups as I move now. Just done week 9 run 1 and remaining pain free so far. Feeling good.
