Speed of Jogging ?

Hi All,

It says in the App just to start with a gentle jog, what do you concider a gentle jog I am training on a treadmill and can only achieve 3.7mph, am I wasting my time ? is this far to slow ?

As the guide to the plan states healthunlocked.com/couchto5... each new runner's pace is going to be different. If you are comfortable at that pace and can speak clear ungasping sentences as you run, then that is fine.

Any exercise is better than none and I will make a significant improvement over time.

Slow is good. You will find your own pace. Some of us are sure we walk faster than ww run 😂

Just think can I keep this up for .... amount of time. If not you are too fast. If, after you have completed the app, you want to speed up a bit there are ways of doing it.

The main things are:

Trust the plan 👍

Follow the plan 👉

Keep the faith ✊

Come on here and tell people how you are doing👋

Oh yes and don't fall off the treadmill 😉

You are certainly not wasting your time if that pace suits you then stick to that . When you are further on in the plan you may notice you want to up your pace but do what suits you good luck 😊
