New to this but so KEEN!

No-one I know can believe I'm doing this - starting running at the age of 64! In the middle of week 6 and so pleased with myself. Just wondered about running 3 times a week - this means a gap of 2 days from one week to the next. Is that alright? Or should the gap of one day be maintained?

Absolutely Fantastic effort and gives me at my age of 42 more determination to do this. It was my first run yesterday and boy can i feel it today.

Once more well done, i personally will stick to the 3 runs a week but maybe a more experienced runner should advice you better then me cos like i said im only 1 run into this.

All the best

Theres two one day rests and a two day. I ran Tuesday, Thursday and one weekend day. I found that was the most flexible while still having essential rest days, although the weekend rest day changed depending on what I was doing in my real life.

Good luck and dont get hung upon time, which its easy too. Just do the plan and enjoy it!

Congratulations! I started in January and have now qualified and like you I am 64 and feel so good about being able to run! Something I thought was impossible. I followed the app and ran every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday but then walked on Friday sometimes. Take the rest days - you’ve earned them. Best of luck you’ll do it.

When I first did c25k I did every other day, like you I was so keen! So long as you have a rest day between its fine. Now I'm doing it with my year old border collie whose in training to be my running buddy!
