Just done this run and don’t know why but nothing seemed to go right. Aches started after 6 or so mins and I contemplated giving in, just kept telling myself do one more minute. Really struggled through and had to go slower but did manage the full run but that was by far the most challenging yet for some reason
Week 6 run 2 :-(: Just done this run and don’t... - Couch to 5K
Week 6 run 2 :-(
Sometimes it is possible to guess at a reason for a tough run, sometimes not.
It's really common to have a sludgy run somewhere between here and graduation. I am sure it is just to teach us that some runs just aren't fun and not to panic (but to come here and have a good moan about it) You've demonstrated you've got some great tools there for keeping going - slowing down, telling yourself one more minute, so actually, quite the triumph!
For every "bad" run there is a reason, or more likely a multitude of reasons.
How did you sleep last night?
Have you drink between 2.5 and 3litres of fluids in the previous 24hrs?
Have you eaten a good balanced diet over the last few days?
Not to mention route, weather, time of day, time of month, time of life.....
Try to work it out and you can avoid it happening again.
Take the positives by learning from the experience and moving on.
Well done, you got through.
