I’m only on week 4 run 1, and have never ever ran prior to starting C25K. I am actually really enjoying it!
However, as of last week I started to get excruciating pain from my heel, song the outside of my foot right to my toes. It’s far too painful to run on now and doesn’t seem to be easing up at all. Has anyone experienced the same and have any advice?
(ps Of course I will go and get it checked out properly if pain persists, just wondered if anyone had gone through the same thing)

Hi Lisaib, I’m at W4 as well - well done on getting this far! So sorry to hear about your foot, if it turns out to be Plantar Fasciitis you have my sympathy as I know how painful it can be having suffered with it for much of last year. Get it checked out and good luck!
Oh that's not supposed to happen. Sorry to hear about the pain after making the progress to W4.
Plantar Fasciitis is certainly a possibility, in which case don't run on it, and get in to see your GP as soon as possible. It'll take a long time to heal. But often PF is described as hurting in the sole of the foot whilst you described the side of your foot. I'm going to recommend that you see your GP anyway, but maybe you've strained some ligaments in your foot with your shoes being too tight, rather than this being PF???
Are you conscious of running on the outside of your foot at all? Once you've got the go-ahead to run again from your GP, then have gait analysis in case it is your running style causing the pain.
Ouch! I would get some ice on it first. I have PF - have done for years and I don't think it sounds similar. Does it hurt more when you walk on it after resting? Thats a key sign of PF like you're walking on sharp stones.
I wondered if its a gait issue and that you are running on the outside of your feet more, or foot singular. Have a look at the soles of your shoes to see where the wear is. If on that foot its off to the side perhaps it could be a gait issue.
