600 runs ๐Ÿ˜Š

Donโ€™t ask me why, but right at the start I began to label all my runs. So I can tell you that today was my 600th run since starting C25K.

I was a little bit conflicted because my 7th runniversary is not far away, but too far to wait. Hey, this way I get to celebrate twice!

For those of you still at the beginning of C25K and wondering if it ever gets easier, it was not an easy run ๐Ÿ˜‚ - I was knackered and had to stop and walk a few times. But it was a successful run because I was out there in the Spring sunshine, running at my own pace.

Happy running everyone!

Exactly. Did you see the article about marathon runners in their 80s and 90s? :O

Thank you! It took me 50 runs not the standard 27 to graduate though :)

Ooh, flowers, thank you! :) I know there are people who would do 600 runs in two years, but me, I'm a plodder! :D

The main thing is that you did them ๐Ÿ‘

Bloomin' 'eck, I was there too this afternoon! Just walking the noble hound and bird watching although I did wonder about a 'cheeky little run' in my sandals and jeans but as I did one of those on Monday I thought it might be a bit risky to do it again so soon (No sign of you know what and I looked hard... laughed at the Canada Goose on the osprey platform and admired various peak condition tits and a bullfinch).

For the information of other newbies, no run at Carsington is ever easy but Anniemurph is a glutton for punishment.

Many congratulations on your 600th run!

Oh, what a shame we missed each other!

I didn't even bother looking for the wretched thing. Is it even still there? There were loads of people with binocs and I did wonder about asking them all.

I set off from the Visitor Centre and headed for Sheepwash - got past there but turned around just before the dark side and the bigger hills :D It was rather warm puffing up the inclines!

And thank you :) It does feel like quite a milestone :)

Oooh, oooh, oooh Anniemurph I just remembered there was a funny looking bird on the water I thought might be 'it' and then decided wasn't but I've just looked up and it was, it was, it was!

(She won't believe me)

YOU'RE KIDDING!!! Whereabouts?

Off Sheepwash car park. Binoculars required.

What are you two talking about? (Carsington Lake Monster???)

๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

For some unknown reason, there is no emoji for a Great Northern Diver. Why is this, do you think?

Irishprincess profile image
IrishprincessGraduate in reply to Anniemurph

You should complain about that ๐Ÿ˜•

Anniemurph profile image
AnniemurphGraduate in reply to Irishprincess

There is a process for requesting new emojis. I considered it because there is no crumpet emoji either. Tut!

Congratulations on your 600th run Anniemurph! ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŒท A lovely run in the Spring sunshine in one of your favourite places I believe.

AND....Your 7th Runniversary coming up soon too...Go you! ๐Ÿ˜Žxxx

Thank you - although Carsington and I have a bit of a love-hate relationship ๐Ÿ˜‚

Yes, 10th April. I can't decide whether just to re-do Week 1 Run 1 in the very same place, which will be fun (and I've done that before), or treat myself by going somewhere brand new. It might depend on the weather :D xxx

Whoop whoop ๐ŸŽˆ๐Ÿพ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ‘ well done Annie! That's a lotta runs ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Are you ever been tempted to jump in the water afterwards? Maybe you have! Lovely photo xxx

Thank you, IP! I'm sure there are people who complete 600 runs in a month (well, okay, not really ๐Ÿ˜€) but it makes me happy that I started and I stuck to it and I will keep going :) xxx

Unfortunately, there's no swimming in the reservoir. It's chock full of blue algae and is therefore poisonous ๐Ÿ˜ญ Although you are allowed to sail on it, which always worried me slightly when my daughters capsized...

Irishprincess profile image
IrishprincessGraduate in reply to Anniemurph

Yes we must keep going. Imagine getting to our silver runniversary!!!

I'm not surprised you don't swim in that but maybe your daughter should wear a snorkel at all times ๐Ÿ˜ญ
