Finding my mojo

I'm 61 and I've never run since my teens. I'm not overweight, but I'm very unfit. I've completed W7. It took me several attempts. Yesterday, I tried W8R1 but I gave up running after 6 minutes and walked instead. I'm on a treadmill so I kept at the same pace 6km/hr but walked it rather than ran. Some days I just have no mojo! I've yet to find that "adrenaline buzz" that runners talk about. I want to achieve the C25K, but as yet, I don't enjoy running. I find every minute torture. Maybe it's not for me?

If you look at some of my posts you will see I say the same thing. I've graduated now as im too competitive to let it beat me. Now i will do a few weeks consolidation and go from there. Im hoping it will be a kill or cure.

Whip its ass and good luck

If you’ve completed week 7 you’ve run for 25 minutes four times so maybe you’re not as unfit as you think? You might just be fatigued: try taking two or even three rest days instead of one. Or you might be bored: venturing outside to run may help if that’s the case.

Well done you... maybe, just maybe, try an outside run... You could be a little bit bored... head out after finding a route you would enjoy, and forget distance or time... just relax and let the legs carry you along!

Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5... and explains the recommended easy conversational pace.

My low boredom threshold means that I would never be able to run for 25minutes on a dreadmill. Try outdoors. It may take a few runs to get used to it, but time will pass so much quicker.
