W8R1 Thanks Gareth!

So hadn’t run for a week due to single parenting as OH away and then the gales! However despite ‘Gareth’ got out today and ran round my local streets for first time. Virgin Media recently dug up and badly filled in the pavements so it was a bit of a rubbish surface. At 20 mins in, thought I might not make it but stuck through to the end. I kind of hoped it would be a little easier this week but not today!

Great running... digging deep when it gets tough is a great weapon to have in the arsenal... some runs test that more than others, but it’s always good to develop that skill too... and so you did... tough 28 minute run, consider your ass kicked! Enjoy run 2.

Thanks! Yep determination and sheer bloody mindedness are all key running techniques!

Well done 👏👏🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

I did week7 run3 last night and I’d not run since last Tuesday for one reason or another. I managed ok so I guess we are keeping a level of fitness now.

I’m going to look at doing more leg strength work, squats and lunges, I’d quite like to get to the gym but never make it!

Looking forward to running 28 mins now 👊

My graduation run coincided with Gareth - I didn't let him beat me either!

You did well to complete the run - I too had a tough time on last weeks but this week it’s very different. My run yesterday was w8r2 and I felt ace). Hopefully now you’re in a better place for the next outing. Well Done !
