I got up this morning determined to try my best to get to 5K on my first run of Week 8 and I've just fallen short ... so close ... but feel really good about it . This is probably the furthest I've ever managed to run. I'll attack it again on Thursday and again on Sunday before W9 starts next Monday.
Hope everyone running today has a good one !

Many thanks for the advice - run two tomorrow - so I'll take it easy and just see how it goes - with another 28 minutes - and yes its needs to be injury free !
Thanks Simon for the commends - I will take it a bit easier tomorrow as I don't want any injuries. On non running days in the week I just have an early morning walk and again when I finish work to give max opportunity for recovery. Looking forward to the next 28 minute run (hopefully get the breathing better) .. then all being well finish week 8 on Saturday morning - ready for week 9 on Monday .. a long way to go so must keep injury free !
I did the same run this morning and managed 4.3k which I'm pretty happy with. Who knows if I'll make it to the magical 5k by the time I finish but as long as I do actually finish I'll be happy!
Well done 28 minutes is huge - and yes getting to week 9 injury free has to be the goal then consolidate and finally take on the stamina and speed 5k+ exercises - good luck with run 2 !
