Well the extra days rest for the now famous dodgy knees worked a treat tonight! Despite uphill and into the storm at around half way, ran 4.51km in the 28 minutes running 🙂! Really pleased with that and creeping closer to the 5k 👍! I even managed to push hard at the end with the last 0.5km at 10.33 km per hour 😮! I’ve not had a split over 10km/ hr yet 💪😂! Definitely a slow one on Thursday night now 🙄 promise!
Week 8 Run 1: Well the extra days rest for the... - Couch to 5K
Week 8 Run 1
Well done, but just get to the 30 minute runs safely... the 5K can follow
Well done - you are going great guns !
Uphill and into a storm. Brave man!! I don’t want to see a hill or wind again in my life!! Well done with your times... and *of course* it’ll be a slow one in Thursday... 🙄
🙄 it will be slow, your getting to know me too well which is worrying 😂! I always run the same course so I knew I’d have the full force of “Gerald” or whatever daft name they’ve called this storm in my face up that flipping hill! Looking at my split times on Runkeeper I’m almost going backwards at that point 😂🤦♂️
Well done and don’t push too hard, enjoy your runs and make sure you rest them dodgy knees
Oh I know my own worst enemy at times 🙄! I’m really really going to try take it easy next one 🙂👍
I’m impressed - well Done. I’m at the same stage as you and contemplating w8r2 today facing up to the wind and rainbows. Cheers for the motivation boost.
Go for it John, the stage we are at now we all know we can run the time required, it’s now all about motivation! 👍
Cheers - so it’s up... UP... and AWAY!!! Thanks
Job Done. Had an Ace W8r2 run tonight. One of my best so far. I defiantly helped by starting slower and after 5 mins prompt, if feeling ok, gently upping the pace. It’s taken 8 weeks to enjoy a sense of “flow” in my running. Many Thanks for your encouragement. John t
Finishing strong is good training but don't focus on the 5K. It's all about the 30 minutes. That's the goal and an achievement to be proud of.
