Well the extra days rest for the now famous dodgy knees worked a treat tonight! Despite uphill and into the storm at around half way, ran 4.51km in the 28 minutes running ๐Ÿ™‚! Really pleased with that and creeping closer to the 5k ๐Ÿ‘! I even managed to push hard at the end with the last 0.5km at 10.33 km per hour ๐Ÿ˜ฎ! Iโ€™ve not had a split over 10km/ hr yet ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ˜‚! Definitely a slow one on Thursday night now ๐Ÿ™„ promise!

Uphill and into a storm. Brave man!! I donโ€™t want to see a hill or wind again in my life!! Well done with your times... and *of course* itโ€™ll be a slow one in Thursday... ๐Ÿ™„

๐Ÿ™„ it will be slow, your getting to know me too well which is worrying ๐Ÿ˜‚! I always run the same course so I knew Iโ€™d have the full force of โ€œGeraldโ€ or whatever daft name theyโ€™ve called this storm in my face up that flipping hill! Looking at my split times on Runkeeper Iโ€™m almost going backwards at that point ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Itโ€™s the hardest thing to be patient with oneself. Iโ€™ve recently graduated and have the same issue. Patience is going to have to be my word of the week! :-)

Your so right! You can only go as fast as your body (knees) will allow! Patience is good ๐Ÿ‘

Iโ€™m impressed - well Done. Iโ€™m at the same stage as you and contemplating w8r2 today facing up to the wind and rainbows. Cheers for the motivation boost.

Go for it John, the stage we are at now we all know we can run the time required, itโ€™s now all about motivation! ๐Ÿ‘

Job Done. Had an Ace W8r2 run tonight. One of my best so far. I defiantly helped by starting slower and after 5 mins prompt, if feeling ok, gently upping the pace. Itโ€™s taken 8 weeks to enjoy a sense of โ€œflowโ€ in my running. Many Thanks for your encouragement. John t

Aw good stuff, well done ๐Ÿ‘! Itโ€™s definitly best not to start too fast, especially with the longer runs weโ€™re doing now! It does get more enjoyable.

Finishing strong is good training but don't focus on the 5K. It's all about the 30 minutes. That's the goal and an achievement to be proud of.
