Well that wasn't fast, it wasn't pretty and it wasn't particularly comfortable. But it's done.
Was running on tired legs as it was very wet this morning so the walk to work was in my hiking boots, which aren't terribly forgiving when walking on asphalt. Plus, it was much colder than I'd anticipated.
Anyhow, onwards to the final week... just 3 runs to go before graduation!

So I thought so too and then did my knee in walking santiago on concreted surfaces. I have then bought walking shoes and they are fine because i bought the air sprung ones but yes, nothing better than my running shoes!!
Thank you. Looking forward to no more increases for a few weeks - very happy to consolidate and hope that the runs get easier. But I just want that badge now!!
You got it done and thatโs what counts. I dread wearing my hiking boots, theyโre so heavy! Canโt imagine running after Iโve worn them. Anyway, onwards n upwards, it wonโt be long now! ๐
I love my hiking boots when I'm scrabbling up hillsides... but I must get so.ething light, flexible, cushioned and waterproof for walking to work in a Manchester downpour. Does such a thing exist I wonder?
Mine are over 20 years old, heavy and clunky. I could definitely use some new ones. I have some Skechers trainers with inbuilt gel insoles, they might be just the thing for rainy days in Manchester ๐ฆ
I just went with it today and embraced the wet feet. With the right socks they were dry again in no time and my trainers were dry by the time I had to walk home again.
Brilliant! Iโve done my first W8 run today and I found it harder than I expected but yes I did it also and it definitely was not pretty either! Good job I donโt have to look at me when Iโm running ๐
