Hi everyone, any suggestions for some good running mixes please?
Music to run to?: Hi everyone, any suggestions... - Couch to 5K
Music to run to?
For me personally I’m going to be looking to run to something about 128bpm. Which puts the music in the “dance” music area.
I’m also considering a DJ mix so a bit of Oliver Heldon, Tiesto, Deadmau5, Eric Prdyz that kinda thing 😊😊
I do have a music mix on Spotify if you use that...more than welcome to it 🎧
I cannot run without music. My taste in music for me depends on the mood. I'm a fan of indie music and rock mostly. I have many playlists from 80's and 90's music and the occasional pop tune but my go to for running is metal/rock/ hard rock music.
My favourite running playlist include:
* Headstrong - Trapt
* The Kids Aren't Alright - The Offspring
* Carry on - Avenged Sevenfold
* Toxicity - System of a Down
* Warrior - Disturbed
* Down with the sickness - Disturbed
* The Animal - Disturbed
* Inside the fire - Disturbed
It's an acquired taste I think and not for everybody but its what get me going and my heart pumping.
If you have Spotify i suggest their workout playlists...

Hope you find the right set for you.
In fact Nellie the Elephant would be more apt 😁
Certainly anything by Slayer and most Slipknot 😂
When I run to music I either make sure it’s too fast to run to, or I match my cadence (stride rate) to the BPM. jog.fm is great for finding songs that you like at the right BPM.
There are all sort of suggestions here, I'll jump in and recommend any of Jancanruns Playlists if you have Spotify, no heavy or death metal on there if you don't like that kind of 'music'
Never run to any music that you don’t normally listen to or type of music that annoys you. People suggest their own choices that may not be to your liking. My choices may make you climb up a wall. You know that song that you like? Listen to it, then. Or discover something similar or don’t listen to anything at all. I never run to the beat either. I refuse to follow a drummer. Simply run, relax, absorb, enjoy and let the music add onto it. 140bpm? Why?...
