My Garmin stopped working yesterday,as did my back up one. I think Garmin are having syncing and gps issues. I am gutted, I got a km Pb, I think, but I canโt see it and it hasn't been recorded. I know it shouldnโt matter but I am so miffed โน๏ธ.
That aside, what a brilliant event. So many families running together, it was a joy to see the little tots so excited and getting ready for a 2.4 mile run. If you ever get a chance to do one of the smaller events around a HM or M for families have a go, so inspirational.
I Would like to think that all the kids I saw running today will never need this forum and that makes me smile, I hope they go on to keep the running bug for the rest of their lives.
We had strong winds, rain and a lovely finish of really painful hail stones. But I throughly enjoyed it.
Happy running to you all.

Thank you, I must admit over the weekend I have been calling Garmin a few names, I did a 10km Walk on sat with MrRfc and it wouldnโt record any of it or any of steps all 24,000 of them according to his step counter โน๏ธ.
Iโm not sure he would go for that as if I got a new one I would probably look at Garmin again ๐. They were working perfectly until Garmin did an update, So frustrating as they are one the best when they work. โน๏ธ
Well done ๐ would have been W6 for me today but was struck down with horrible cold last week so only completed W5R2, so will restart today. Now I want a medal like that ๐
Take care of that cold. Running for medals is great fun, when I was going through the program I had no idea just how much I was going to love that part of running. I am a bling hound. ๐
It was tough conditions out the Rfc, but a grand atmosphere! So glad the Little Half wasnโt cancelled, the Big Mile event didnโt go ahead apparently!
The atmosphere was great, so many little tots in my event, it was a joy to see them all. I was going to the festival afterwards, I thought they had just cancelled the music but they cancelled the whole thing. It must of been such a shame for all the vendors and musicians.
The winds were sooooo strong! Even the Meet and Greet became ....just meet at the gates ......... But given the conditions the organisers did a grand job.
I think they made the right choices, did you see the clip of the poor Big Ben runner in the wind tunnel in canary wharf, he got thrown around a bit. I do like vitality events, they are very well organised.
I didnโt see that, but at one point we were just outside the tunnel......we managed to get four sightings of our daughter through out the course...... out of the tunnel and Canary Wharf were particularly gusty...... I donโt know how the runners kept going!
Brilliant, I bet she feels epic as well now. I am so pleased for her. We got told at the beginning of our event Mo got a record so we all did the Mo Bot. ๐.
