So......I approached this run convinced I would not manage THREE MINUTES!!!! I listened to Laura’s words of encouragement and tried not to ‘bob’ up and down. I slowed down to a pace that would have given a snail a fighting chance and actually made it through without major trauma!

I’m so full of enthusiasm at the moment that I went to my local running shop and did a gait analysis (I’m neutral) and bought expensive shoes 😱 I’m hoping these will help stop any injuries.

Expensive shoes should help you with your running, glad you enjoyed your run today, onwards and upwards to run 2 of week 3.

Well done! Laura is great isn't she! Excellent that you've committed and bought the right gear - don't let them go to waste!

I run with my black Labrador up in The North Pennines and when we started with her it seemed an impossible dream, but we stuck with the programme. Now, although we don't run fast miles, we can run for about 10 miles. It's up to you what you're aiming for, but for us it's about endurance and enjoying the amazing wildness around us...xx

Wow!!! Your lab must love you. I’ve got a miniature dachshund, so maybe not 10 miles! 😊
