When Rock n Roll Dreams Come True!!

Graduation run today. Waited for a break in the downpours and got out there. Water and mud everywhere, swollen rivers and streams. About 3 mins in my Spotify stopped working. Wasn’t enjoying the silence so hit whatever the first playlist saved on my phone was. Meatloaf Bat out of Hell - oh the irony. Plodded on. Flooded roa ahead. Ended up ankle deep in muddy water - refreshing! Now I’m squishing on, sliding through the mud on the off road section. Feeling good despite the branches poking my eyes. Feet abit cold but now I’m embracing the puddles - what the hell! My lace is undone but I don’t want to stop!! Five minutes to go. Meatloaf is on my side! All revved up and no place to go! I did it! Not 5k but 2.5 miles in 30 minutes. A glorious muddy triumph!

I’ve just realised it was Bat out of Hell 2 - still pretty good though. There are some slow ballad-style ones which might not be as pacy as you like. It’s probably not ideal running music due to the complexities of the songs but give it a go - you might like it!
