Wowza! W6D3 had me running the whole 22 mins. I didn't mind a bit as W5D3 and all the other runs before then had prepared me for this day. So off I went from Day 1 to Day 3.
I decided to take a different route for Day 3 and kept running until Sanjeev whispered delicately into my ears to stop and start walking (Oh Sanjeev! Things you do to this lady). It was then that I realized that I was lost and quite a ways from home (14 mins, to be precise). But I didn't mind one bit. I whipped out my phone and mapped my additional 9-min walk home. And it felt good.
I completed W7D1 yesterday and I just kept going round and round (did laps around my building complex) and I realized how much I DID NOT miss the walking intervals. It didn't come as a surprise to me because I've always been the rip-off-the-bandaid-quickly kinda lady.
I don't know if I can now call myself a runner but this life I have created for me is one I am very thankful for. I came home yesterday after my W7D1 run high as a kite and thanking God for the velvety clouds I ran under.
PS: I have not lost weight yet. If anything, it seemed I gained about 5 lbs in a week. This is an anomaly as I have never put that much weight in a week. I am chalking this down to increase muscle gain or something else. But my clothes fit better and I see my face and thighs more chiseled. Has anyone experienced this?
Thank you all!
Mo!
