Graduated !!!

Just completed my last run. Can’t believe I did it. Been a long haul- started 6 November. A chest infection, snow and ice and all sorts of other obstacles turned my 9 wk program into almost 4 months. But here I am. I’m still not at 5K but I see myself now as having just passed my driving test and now I can improve and get to be more like a real runner! The park run is my first goal and will work up to running for the full 5K eventually. I couldn’t have done it without the lovely Michael Johnson. His encouraging words kept me going. It’s been a great program for me and I’ve recommended it to lots of friends and colleagues. I love this forum. Everyone is so supportive and there’s real camaraderie amongst all us C25Kers. You were all the first to know- now I’m going to text my family and friends and boast of my achievement.

Thanks for that. I think U maybe misunderstood what I was saying about driving test. I passed my driving test 30+ years ago! I was likening finishing my C25K to passing a driving test cos I think it’s probably only now that I’ll start to be like a real runner. I should probably have an L plate on my back until I speed up a bit!

Well done! I just joined this group as I’ve just completed week 6 and finding it very tough! I’m a way off 5k so nice to hear a positive attitude about not reaching 5k by Week 9. Thanks for the inspiration! And good luck getting to 5k!
