That was interesting, chose a different route, stupidly thinking I'd run further in week 3, R1. It was much harder and run finished 10 mins away from home. Really need my recovery day after an extra brisk 10 mins. Anyone else so disorganized?

I often think a different route is a good idea as the runs get longer... The reality is I like knowing where I'm at... when I might hit and incline and where it's downhill.
So I do similar routes just add on... and an extra walk back helps my fitbit stats. 😁
I did the same this morning, W3R1 on a slightly longer route. As you, I finished further away from home that usual. So I had to run for 1 minute extra (after a few minutes walking) to close the gap. It was such a lovely morning, I didn't mind one bit. 😊 I could have run/walked a bit more but I was wary of overdoing things.
