Starting again :(

After getting hospitalised with salmonella and then a bereavement in the family I’ve been out of C25K for a couple of months now. Has anyone got any advice on starting again and keeping motivated? Feeling pretty low about the whole thing to be honest!

Choose some good uplifting songs to listen to and start the 5 min warm up, I bet you will be ready to run when she tells you in your ear! The hardest part is leaving the house, but do it!! It will help with wellbeing and state of mind, I gave up running 2 years ago after my dog died and felt so low. I couldn’t get back into it as everywhere I ran, were places I used to walk her and I would end up crying( doesn’t help when running!!). I decided at Christmas I needed to get fit and I downloaded the app after a friend suggested it and it’s been the best thing, now running 25 mins no problem, listening to my tunes and feeling fab afterwards. Just take the first step out...,

As it states in the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5... you will have to find out what you are comfortably capable of doing and rebuild from that base.

Take care.

Hi, you've had a lot going on in the past month or two , why not just go out for a run no pressure and see what you can manage and take it from there . Come back and let us know how you get on 😊😊
