Knee raise - crunchy hip?

Is this athletes/dancers hip? Unfit pensioner? Left hip only makes a crunchy noise when I raise my knee, doesn’t hurt. Right side ok. Any ideas??

Sounds odd,, we are not medical experts.. so, maybe an idea to get it checked out?

My knees make odd sounds but after an MR! scan ( not related to that) I know they are fine... it is worth finding out what is going on... a sports physio could be your best port of call?
