I listened to the advice and slowed down a little and today’s run went much better I still felt the burning in my lower calf but not until the last run and it was only slightly uncomfortable not the pain I had the other day so feeling very proud of myself

Slowing down especially in the first few weeks was crucial for me otherwise I'd never have got to do the long runs. I think most of us start with going too fast for our poor unfit bodies at first until we realise that it's getting to the end of the run that counts not how fast. Good luck
Well done you - the in app advice and indeed here on this forum is truly invaluable x
You should feel proud. Week 1 is very often the hardest, as your mind and body get the running thing sorted out. Remember there is no such thing as "to slow", rest days are compulsory, take on lots of hydration every day and keep posting.
You can be very proud of yourself Samijdkl on what you have achieved in C25K, well done. Onwards and upwards to run 3 of week 1. 😊
👏🏼👏🏼🎉
That’s great news! Stick with that for run 3, maybe even a little slower, n if you get through it with no burning then you know you’ve hit the right pace n that’s what you should stick with, for now at least. Happy running!
