Since starting the C25k program, and particularly since the run times have increased to 20mins plus, I’m hungry all the time, I’m supposed to be loosing weight, not gaining it.. not that I have gained much, only a few pounds, but over time that will creep up if I don’t watch it.
Is my body really that hungry or is my brain tricking me into thinking I'm hungry cause I’m working so much harder? 🤷♀️

Don't eat anything for at least a hour before you run, after the run you can reward yourself with whatever you want to eat, although a BigMac😂 would undo all the calories you lost by far when running. 😊
I think I read somewhere that there are the same amount of calories in a BigMac than there are in what you lose running a HM, or was it a full marathon?? 😀.
I'm also watching what I eat and strangely enough I'm not hungrier on running days . I drink 2 litres of water every day so sometimes if you think you're hungry get a bottle of water or diluting juice don't know just a thought
I felt ravenous hunger when I started this... but since doing the longer runs the opposite has happened. I didn’t have breakfast this morning as was planning a run, ran 7k (with a coffee break at 5k), got home and wasn’t hungry. I had a bowl of cereal for lunch and I’m about to have a good size dinner... mind you, I’m guzzling water and coffee all day long!
Thanks, I’m already drinking around 2.5L of water a day, and I’m not eating rubbish, just more quantity of food. Example, I get up for breakfast famished, I usually have porridge but now craving porridge, toast, banana, yogurt .. I’m just going to have to be mentally strong I guess .. 🙊🙈
Well, if you will eat such delicious food! 😉 I have to be very strict with porridge and measure it out otherwise I’d eat far too much of it! 🐷
Actually, I read a book about running the other day and the guy had salad for breakfast! 🥬 He was sceptical at first but quickly became a convert. Packed with goodness but light enough that you can digest it quickly. I haven’t tried it yet... 🙄
One thing my daughter found on this was that the hunger wasn’t hunger as such... her body wanted a little protein... a slice of chicken post run satisfied her “hunger”
