Still going

Took me half an hour just to get out of bed this morning. Wet and stormy outside and I thought I’d give it a miss today. Then I took a quick look on here and saw that Bodg was just back drenched and triumphant after running 6:3. So I took the Black Dog out after all and would you believe it, we managed 9:1 ?!!

Photo shows the newly christened Setters Way, which has obligingly remained ice free over the past few weeks. Happy running, anyone else braving the weather today 😀

Great job BCK! I knew that dog would have to relent and just run 30 minutes with you!!!

I think he spent half the time wandering off into the trees 😄

🎉👍🏃🏼‍♀️💨👏🏼 Love the photo. Much more sheltered looking than my across-the-fields route, which had a nasty wet headwind today. Well done.

It’s a really useful little path ! I got blown to bits coming and going but the path itself was fine 😄

Great scenery to motivate you! Who knows, hopefully one day Black dog will wander off and not come back - well done you

As long as he stays out from under my feet while I’m running, that’ll do for just now 😄

Congratulations ButtercupKid on running your first 30 minute run of week 9🏃, you and the Black Dog did well today although you say he wandered off into the trees at times, nice photo of part of your route, Setters Way looks a nice sheltered part of it, onwards and upwards to 9:2.👍🏃in a few days time.

Thanks AlMorr. A photo of the AlMorr Loop will appear in due course, but at the moment it’s still frozen from end to end x

No hurry BCK, once again a very big congratulations for completing 9:1.👍🏃

Must confess I had a weepy moment when Sanjeev said I had done it. Not that I could hear a word he was saying in that wind, but the tone of voice was enough 😄

Great for getting out running today . Beautiful photo

Thanks Buddy. Couldn’t have done it without Bodg today 😄

Well done! Looks like a lovely path as well :-)

It’s a fabulous park - we’re really lucky here.

I live in a nice area but there is a bit of a lack of places for a good run. The canal is great but gets very puddley at this time of year.

Canal would be nice and level ! Most of the park is still under ice just now but this path has stayed clear. We also have a disused railway line which has been turned into a walking route, so we’re well spoilt 😄

How lovely!

I ran along the Camel trail as usual and managed to avoid two downpours. However, the wind was against me both ways. How is this possible? To whom do I complain!

Maybe the weather felt that as you’d missed out on the rain, it was only fair to give you all the wind ? It was a kindness really. Bet it didn’t feel like one though 😂

I got soaked on the subsequent dog walk on Polzeath beach! You can run but you can’t hide ....

What a beautiful place to run! I'm glad you got out and conquered the first run of week 9 and in the rain! Whoohoo! 1 step closer to graduation 👏

It is totally possible! We know you can do it; you just have to believe in yourself. You’re one tough cookie who can’t be stopped.

Of course it is possible, you have run for 30 minutes once so you can do it again. #keeponrunning. 👏👏

Thanks ktsok. Yep, lost the Dog in the trees a few times today 😄

Yay! I’m really pleased for you. The podium is in sight! Think of the runs you did before as practice or training runs, so that your graduation run will be all the more awesome! Black Dogs don’t much like awesomeness. Anyone who can get to W9R1 is awesome. There are so many who have tried and failed, but you are doing it.

Go you, and all the best for the remaining runs!
