Week 4 - yay still going.

Having had a really bad run on Christmas Day (W3 R4) I was dreading today but I had been given proper running kit for Christmas - including something to put my phone in. It made such a difference to not be messing with the phone. I sort of enjoyed it - and wasn't anywhere near as out of breath as I have been in the past. so pleased with today ... I really thought I had reached my limit on Christmas Day.

That’s the way mafee! You could have bailed on today’s run after your ‘bad’ one on Christmas Day, but you’ve proved to yourself you are a strong willed runner and you nailed today’s.

Good for you! 👏👏👏

Good job ⭐️ When you say you did run 4, do you mean you did a repeat ? Or am I just confused?!

no I did a repeat of week 3 - which was just as well as I really struggled. Thanks for the reply - the support really helps

I’m a serial repeater myself and being able to make that choice has really helped me along. Hope week 4 is being kind to you x

yes having the choice keeps you in control. 2nd run of week is tomorrow and now I am quite looking forward to it.

on to week 4 and due to do the last run today ...I am dreading next week and the thought of 20 minutes but have read lots of posts that say 'don't look ahead' so I will just plod on - how about you? My trainers are now well muddy - how bout yours?

Ooh well done! Nearly there... don’t dread it. I have had a bad couple of runs and was getting a bit down about it yesterday, but have got my head screwed back on today. We haven’t dropped down dead, we aren’t injured, we are still going. If we have to repeat a run so what, really? It’s not as if the aim is to complete the program and never run again... I don’t think... so we are going to be repeating a LOT! 😂

Yes, shoes are absolutely plastered in sheep poo here!
