Week 4 Run 1

I cannot believe how quickly this programme has helped us progress. We look forward to our runs, and are trying different routes as we live in a completely unlit village, and have only done two runs in daylight so far due to our schedules.

I really struggled with knee pain the whole of week 3 and was scared I’d have to stop or lessen my pace, but with some cheap and cheerful knee supports and LOTS of stretching my knee pain has dramatically improved. I’ve also ordered some new trainers with much better support so I’m eager for them to arrive.

Well done on your progress.

A word of warning about shoes, especially if you have experienced pain, if you have not had a gait analysis done, then your shoes may not be appropriate for you........then again, they might be.......it is pot luck.

This guide to buying shoes may explain it to you healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Thank you for this. I am seriously thinking about going to have my gait analysed if the problem persists. Fingers crossed🤞🏻

Well done to you HansB for completing week 4 run 1, by we, I assume you are doing the program with someone you know, glad to know that your knee pain is a lot better due to knee supports and stretching. 😊 Onwards and upwards to run 2 of week 4.

Thank you! Yes, my husband has jumped on the band wagon, so I have a buddy.

Nice to know that a husband and wife are doing C25K, you will be looking forward to graduating with your husband in around 4 or 5 weeks time. Last year there was a father and his daughter who graduated on the same day.

That’s wonderful. I will be so happy when we graduate together.
