6 weeks post C25k

Well I’m still running 3 times a week since graduating in December, but my speed is not improving although my distance is,I expect to hit 5k in a week or so but can’t seem to improve my time u average about 8m to 8.15m a kilometre occasionally 7.56m. Any advice would be helpful as would like to run 5k in under 40m.

First of all, a big well done for continuing to run and making it a habit , whoop whoop 🤗

It takes time and your body is still adjusting to this running thing. Your goal of 5K is a great one so when you reach that, continue to consolidate that distance for a few weeks. Then, you can see where you want to go from there.

But you're doing brilliantly so far, just keep going. The further you run the faster you'll become but you need to build that running body first which is what you're doing on every single run.
