I currently own brooks adrenaline gts 18 women’s wide fit. Anyway the running club I go to has arranged a 30% off evening at our local ASICS outlet. I went in today to have a look and see if there’s anything suitable for me. Because of my wide feet I tried on a pair of men’s running GT 2000 5, which felt really comfortable. Anyway my question is does it really make a difference if I get a men’s pair rather than women’s. Thanks 😊

You want a shoe that fits well, regardless of who it is made for. I would check that the gym shoes are actually running shoes.
ASICS do tend to be on the narrow side.

There is a subtle difference in men’s and women’s shoes because the difference in hip structure gives a slightly different angle at the ankle... apparently.
