It’s taken a month to get from Wk7-1 to Wk8-2. Finding it a tad difficult for some reason, just can’t get my mojo back 😥

“It does not matter how slow you go, as long as you do not stop.” ❤️

Have you been to a parkrun? Nothing like that for a bit of motivation and you are far enough along in the programme that you should manage it even if you need to walk at the end beyond your 25 minute (I think?) C25K run!

You are so near to finishing, don’t lose hope now! Xx

Keep at it. You are so close. Believe me, you are so so close to the Graduation run. Try running a little slower next time. Even if it takes you a few runs more to move on, don’t worry about it. You can and you will get there. Chin up, smile and for the next run slow down a little and just say I have this. A lot of this running lark is in the mind. Tell your mind that all is good, and you can and will do this and all will be good. Slow and steady.

Thankyou, been running on the treadmill for the last few runs, I did 4.7K on last run so nearly there. Like you say mind over matter 😊

Well done on getting to where you are.

Are you making it difficult for yourself by running too fast?

The pace recommended is one at which you can speak clear ungasping sentences as you run, as described in the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

This pace will be much more sustainable than if you push harder and it is, counterintuitively, the pace that builds stamina.

Do bear in mind that graduation requirements are that you run for 30 minutes, three times and that less than 15% of graduates manage a sub 30 minute 5k at graduation........so speed is of no consequence.

We all start from different places, in respect of fitness, and for some of us the process takes a bit longer.

Don't lose heart. Just look how much more you are capable of doing now than when you first started. You will have improved your heart and lung function as well as the strength and endurance of your legs..........and there is so much more to come.

You are doing great.
