I just ran for 8 whole minutes - twice - me! Doesn’t sound much written down in black and white but for an unathletic, 30 “something” who skipped all her PE lessons and feels like a fraud at exercising I find this astonishing! Pretty sure my run speed is as fast as my husbands walking speed but hey 🤷🏼‍♀️ ... dreading the 20 minute run that’s coming next, how did everyone find it?

Also how does everyone cope with boring routes? I live in a small (& hilly!) village so struggling to think of where to go everytime without having to do a million loops (we don’t have any big parks nearby that I can drive to either, especially in the dark as I run in an evening)

Congratulations! I’m due to start week 5 tomorrow so good to know that the first 2 are enjoyable at least!

I am also trying to plan a running route for week 5 that will not be frozen or muddy or too hilly... am so demanding;-)

😂 Me too, me too! I purposely try to avoid the uphills - I just think one step at a time, running is a big enough deal without making it even harder and throwing hills into the equation right now! Makes my circuits really small though taking that into account 🤦🏼‍♀️ if only we had a lovely seafront Boulevard to run down *off to check right move/consider a relocation!

Maybe a shared running cottage by the sea? Like a timeshare

The 20 minute run is not as bad as everyone fears. Just take it nice and steady. I'm lucky I've got loads of places near my home suitable for running. Just try and vary your routes as much as possible
