I REALLY didn’t want to run today, it’s cold, I’m tired, and there was other stuff I wanted to do. But I went for it and I’m glad I did! Definitely noticed a step up in week 4, the second 5 minute run was tough! Proud I completed it ☺️

Just nailed W4R1 too😀. Agree last 5 mins tough but not as bad as I’d thought. Well done and keep going, getting the bug. Might treat myself to real running shoes next week 🏃♀️
Well done! ☺️ It wouldn’t have been as bad apart from the fact I forgot the last part of my route is slightly uphill! Which didn’t help lol. Yes that might give you some extra motivation 🏃🏻♀️
DEFINITELY treat yourself to 'real running shoes', with a gait analysis. They make a huge difference. I made that mistake. went to W8R1 with an ordinary pair of trainers, hurt my knees and had to take 6 weeks off. Came back with a pair of Brooks GTS18 and flew through W8 and 9 (well, plodded through a lot easier!). Now trying to do regular Parkruns, general health permitting, and so glad I got them. If you compare the cost of the shoes to gym memberships, it's not so daunting!
