Just started week 4

I’ve done the first run of week 4! Found it a bit tiring!! I’ve had a look at what week 5 has to offer and it looks a bit scary (especially the third run!). I’ve managed okay so far, considering that I’m very overweight and in my 50s, and am really going to try my hardest to do next week’s! Can I do it? Will I have to re-run the first couple of runs?? Any advice gratefully received 😊

Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.

Yes you can do it!

I was terrified going in to week 5 but I really enjoyed the change of walk/run times each run. I think week 5 and 6 were my favourite weeks looking back! They were the ones where I felt I'd accomplished something I didn't think was possible after each run.

Take it slowly and listen to your body, not your head.

Good luck, you can do it!

Thank you! Half of me is sort of looking forward to seeing if I can do it! 😀

I was like that too. It really gives you such mixed feelings throughout that no one can prepare you for. Both before and after the runs!

One thing to remember is that if you successfully finished week 4 then you WILL physically be ready for week 5

Even if your head isn't, your body will be !

Trust the program , and believe me , when you have done that week 5 run 3 you will be grinning from ear to ear all day long 😙

Thank you! I’ve just come back from my w4r2, and I found it a bit of a struggle, but I remembered what you said, my head may not feel as if I can do it, but my body can! Feel fab now! 👍😀

Week 4 was definitely a step up from previous weeks. Run 3 was definitely not a favourite.

A change in the weather for W5R1 this morning and I found, while it wasn't easy, it wasn't as hard either.

Thanks! Hopefully I’ll find W5R1 okay too! I’ve got that to look forward to on Monday! 😬
