Did my w5r1 yesterday and actually felt good! Could have run further even! Considering w4r1 took me 3attempts, I’m surprised. Not looking forward to w5r3 though - where have the breaks gone!

Great job... you’ve progressed very well.
There are no breaks in the run you did though. Brisk walking raises the heart rate so it’s not a rest... and conversational pace running isn’t much different... so when you look at the whole workout you’ll notice that W5R3 is the shortest workout of the week. It’s just a case of keeping the pace down, getting through the first few minutes and relaxing into your rhythm... you can do it!

You'll be able to do W5R3 fine, I think we all thought we'd not make it, but unless there are more underlying issues for you, you'll be absolutely staggered when you do it! I agree with UnfitNoMore, for me part of the trick of progressing was learning to keep running slowly - this is all about duration and not speed. So start slow and keep it nice and steady. It is such a buzz when you do it! Maybe prepare a new playlist so you have something to distract you - but don't worry - you can do this! Good luck and let us know how you get on!

Hey,
First of all well done for completing run 1.
It seems to me that week5 feels like “wow it’s proper running now” 🙈
I’ve just finished run w5r3 and to be honest I was worried this morning about it. But it was surprisingly not that hard. And you will be super proud of yourself afterward! 😉
