W7R2 5k!!

Ok so that included the warm up and warm down but for the first time I covered 5k!! It was dead on 5k as well. Dog covered more I am sure but we changed the run slightly and did more pavement less beach so he had to run with me. Well, he didn’t run, more walked fast and fluidly next to me 😁.

Also yesterday, thought I would look getting a new work dress and went to my usual shop and have dropped a dress size. 💃🏻 happy with that! I don’t have scales and didn’t bother measuring myself at the start and wish I had now, but I am definitely trimmer and my stamina is so much better! <high fives self>

WOW !!! well done you. That is great going, as has been said on here some people never manage the 5k. Its amazing how running changes your shape for the better :-)

I am rather pleased! I mainly wanted to trim up my abdomen but its having a good effect all over. The first thing I noticed after 2-3 weeks was tops fitted me better across the top but now I don't need Bridget Jones pants.... :-D winner!

Well done Sophia! Just curious did you also change your eating habbits to help you drop a dress size or was it purely due to running?

I stopped drinking alcohol in September but that did nothing for me size wise (I may have substituted with ALL the cakes). Thats why I started C25K as I realised I needed to do more to create a deficit. I have not done anything specific diet wise but I have tried very hard to not snack between meals and I have reduced my coffee intake as I had sugar and milk in it whereas I have tea black.

Well done with your progress so far. It’s an amazing plan. I graduated in November and also lost a fair few pounds. The weight is slowly but surely still coming off, so I’m feeling good all round. Loving the running after graduation too. Good luck with the rest of your journey. X
