W6R1 - something weird just happened

Whilst on the warm up walk I started the usual internal pep talk to motivate myself, when I realised it wasn’t the usual pre-run nerves I was experiencing, but kind of butterflies of excitement! I was looking forward to my run! Really caught me by surprise, a complete first.

Oh gosh...hook line and sinker :) It is wonderful isn't it....? I still get that buzz..three years on... every single time before I run... and the night before a run day... as I lay out my gear...and it is exactly... as you say, that butterfly in tummy feeling!

Brilliant.. I am delighted for you... well done...heading towards those lovely longer runs now:)

Thank you 😊 I never thought I would experience this! I’ve had a hate:hate relationship with exercise for most of my life and really believed that the ‘buzz’ was a myth. Still reeling from the shock, but keen to run tomorrow and see if it happens again!
