Hi all - second post-grad run this morning ... really had to drag myself out and said to hubby I’ll probably just do 20 minutes today, really not feeling it. So off I set, very slowly, up the normal blooming hill 😫. About 10 minutes in, all of a sudden I felt much stronger, I picked up the pace (a bit!), my breathing was under control, the sun was up and I was enjoying it! So I carried on, and on a bit further - and did my first 5k!!! It took 39 minutes but even the fact I could run for 39 minutes non-stop is a minor miracle! The me who started this journey 10 weeks ago would never think it possible 😊
This programme is brilliant - can’t thank it ... and you wonderful lot for the support, enough. I’m a runner and I love it!

That moment of realisation that you can run for more than 30 mins is great isn't it, second only to the graduation high in my ipiniin, it opens up a world of possibilities, go get them!
I would say consistency is always important as we all know we have good days and bad days, sometimes I train and train so much that I can not literally walk the next day, others I can push myself further then I can imagine for the sole reason that I have pushed myself, maybe it is like acclimatising to something, zero gravity or thin air training for mountains ⛰ terrains or readying up for jet lag before a flight-I don’t know,
I have noticed since running more regularly that every morning my soles of my feet are very achey and I think that must be a good thing if I am trying to build muscle.
