So 8 1/2 months after starting the 9 week program W9 R3 is done - and wore my swim shorts for everyone!

So that was it, the last run complete. After watching most of the posters I started this journey with back in May graduate several months ago it's finally my time.

I never did invest in proper run gear bar a flourescent top when the nights got dark and some sturdy Asics trainers after my hilarious gait analysis. The trusty swim shorts became like a mascot to me and stayed with me til the end!

The hot summer, world cup, boozy nights and chesty coughs all provided excuses to not run but eventually I ran out of excuses and got on with it.

Cheers to everyone on here, overwhelmingly positive and supportive, all earning my greatest respect though a barmy and bonkers bunch the lot of you.

Still a bit short of the 5k so will need to try for 33 or 35 minutes to get to that magic mark.

See you out there people, please forgive the panting, sputtering and wheezing. I'm not dying, I'm running!
