Didnβt enjoy the run as much as Wk9r1, but it was hot and hillier. Love that I kept going despite feeling heavy legs and lungs from the outset π€ͺ. Definitely learning that mindset makes or breaks a run. But sooooo pleased Iβve run 30 mins again and time for 5k distance (with walk at start) was 36:50, slow still but getting faster. Still got shin niggles after run but eased quickly with anti-inflam cream.
Plan to do last and GRADUATION (whoop whoop) run on Saturday at Parkrun πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
Well done everyone else who are nearly there x

Just one more run to go! You are practically touching the finishing line, I can only imagine how excited you must be, I am on W7 and with each run now I am so pumped to keep on track to graduate in the next couple weeks! Yay! Yay! Yay!
Have you thought about what you will do post graduation, make sure you consolidate xx
All the best and can't wait to see your graduation post!
Thanks JaoJao, Yes I plan to co solo date and have been reading lots of forward looking posts on here. I also have the C2 10K app and may start that from just before the week of doing 25 min runs.
Good luck with your next few runs, youβll soon be graduating too ππΌ
Thank you, I do intend to keep running but may need to find a club lol. Struggle more and more if I need to get out there alone. Defo find it easier with a buddy π
Indeed, mindset is all... believe you will fail and your faith is pretty much guaranteed to be rewarded.
Now... about that slow? Really? How quick were you over 5k a couple of months ago? Donβt worry about your pace, itβs fast enough to enable you to increase that fitness and health and slow enough to complete the runs. Even at graduation the time to think about pace is a while off, if indeed it ever matters.
Have a wonderful graduation run... the celebration of your journey starts when you cross that start line.
Thank you. Iβm babysitting for my daughter who never gets out on Friday night. Hoping sheβs not too late or too hung over to get up early enough to let me get out at 8:30am lol π but the important thing is for her to have a great time and I will still run over weekend to graduate ππΌππ
Thank you, itβs so motivational hearing others are here at the finishing line too. Weβve done so amazing together, havenβt we. Good luck for your graduation run too. Look forward to your afterglow post π
As for park run, I started doing it some years ago, on a hop and a catch and then most weeks since NYE. I havenβt been able to run it though, just walk/jog/walk/jog, and wasnβt getting any better as I only did it once a week. In fact I was getting slower every week and was feeling like giving up. Then someone pointed out C25k; I downloaded the App, went back to basics, did 3 days a week consistently and voila! here I am. Itβs a fantastic plan/App and Iβve loved it. Still nowhere near running the 5k in 30 mins but who cares lol π Iβm loving the new energy and fitness πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπ€Έπ»ββοΈπ€Έπ»ββοΈπ€Έπ»ββοΈ
My original plan was to do my first PR as my last c25k. But timings slipped and now I'm giving blood on Friday evening so prob best not run Sat morning π
C25K is amazing, every Dr in the land should prescribe it along with this amazing forum. I know I couldn't have done it without my VRBs π
